Additionally, the A1 Hill and the War Cemetery are important sites that pay tribute to the soldiers who fought in the battle.
Minority Customs: Muong Phang is a beautiful valley located 30 km away from Dien Bien Phu city. It is great place with harmonious landscapes, green mountain ranges, rice terraces and Black Thai ethnic villages.
Natural Sceneries: Quynh Nhai reservoir is surrounded by green forests and limestone mountain ranges, which add to the scenic beauty of the area. The landscape around the Quynh Nhai reservoir is a combination of natural beauty, serene waters, and stunning mountains. It is a place where visitors can immerse themselves in nature, enjoy outdoor activities, and experience the tranquility in northwest of Vietnam.
On cruise to Muong Lay which is a beautiful valley located 103 km away from Dien Bien by road. It is great place with harmonious landscapes, green mountain ranges, peaceful reservoir and White Thai ethnic villages.

DAY 1: EXPLORING THAI CULTURE AND THE HISTORICAL SITES (LUNCH, DINNER) 
 
9h00 AM: Landing at the Dien Bien Phu airport, you are welcomed by professional tour guide and driver at the pickup lobby. 
Drive out to visit the Dien Bien Phu historical sites; the battle cemetery, the museum which displays events in the war against the French in 1954 and then continue on to visit some French positions such as Hill A1, Muong Thanh Bridge (the bailey bridge!), General De Castrie's bunker, an artillery base nearby as well as the memorial Victory Statue on the D1 hill.
Then transfer to Muong Phang commune. On the way with stop at the pass where you can view magnificent panoramic views of the valley. This is also a great place for taking photos.
Arrive at Che Can village. Check in homestay and free at leisure.
In the afternoon, Visit the Vietnamese headquarter was the designated residence for General Vo Nguyen Giap, his staff, and Chinese military advisers during the Dien Bien Phu wartime, spanning from January 31st to May 15th, 1954. 
Enjoy a walking route inside the green forest to visit the bunker where Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap and the tunnel where his chief commanders worked.
Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at homestay.
 
NOTE:
• For more interacting with local people and authentic experience, we arrange you stay at homestay with basic equipment: clean mattress, pillow, mosquito net, blankets, outside WC and hot water shower but hotel service is also available.
• Private traditional music and dancing show by local people is available with extra cost of $120/group. Please ask our guide to reserve if you are interested in (it often unfolds after dinner)
 
DAY 2: DIEN BIEN PHU CITY - QUYNH NHAI RESERVOIR (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER) 

Start the day with a simple breakfast with your host family. Farewell to your host of homestay drive to Quynh Nhai, Son La via Tuan Giao town.
You can stop at Tuan Giao if you would like a tea break and have restroom.
Continue your driving, arrive at the destination around noon, get warmly welcomed at reception. Hotel accommodation is available. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant. 
Enjoy the leisurely stroll for visiting Pa Uon Bridge, which crossing Da River, now it becomes the reservoir for hydro electricity damp. This bridge holds the record for being the tallest bridge in Vietnam, with a total length of 1,293 meters, a width of 9 meters, and a height of 103.8 meters, including 11 pillars, with a total cost of 740 billion VND. The bridge was started in 2007 and put into use in 2010.
If you are interested - Drive to visit Ban Bon hotspring (50km from your homestay). 
On the way, admire White Thai villages and rural area with a lot of chance taking pictures of rice fields, peaceful countryside.
You can enjoy yourself in the swimming pool among the beautiful villages and nature (this extra cost of the tour)
Afternoon: Transfer to the Ban Bon mineral hot spring resource. On the way, admire White Thai villages and rural area with a lot of chance taking pictures of rice fields, peaceful countryside.
Arrive in Ban Bon, enjoy the swimming, relaxing and sunbathing at the pool.
Note: Ban Bon where offers services from local villagers. The facilities are very simple and in harmony with nature.
Return to your accommodation and you are free for the remainder of the day.
Overnight in Homestay Mai Vom nearby the lake.
 
DAY 3: ON CRUISE EXPLORING ISLANDS (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER) 
Breakfast at the hotel.
Checks in boat with cruise briefing and safety instructions. Continue with a boat ride on Quynh Nhai reservoir, known as Northwest's "Inland Ha Long Bay" and behold or explore some cave pagodas, pass by or stop at the most beautiful areas: heart Island, a small limestone islet with one of the best place to have a great view of the area. 
You can offer your feets with fishes pecking and feed them. Moreover, you have a chance to do kayaking based on your preference or enjoy kayaking through the karst and breathtaking nature, swimming and relaxing. Then your lunch is served in the floating restaurant.
Move to Uy Phong Bay which is the most famous destination in Quynh Nhai for nature-based activities and eco-tourism. Then contiune to visit Binh Yen Bay.
Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon. Overnight in Quynh Nhai.

DAY 4: SALE TRIP TO MUONG LAY TOWN (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER) - 176 KM, 7 HOURS ON BOARD
Morning: Check out. Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy a morning tour cruising along the reservoir to Muong Lay Town where you can view magnificent panoramic views of mountains, villages and King Tran temple along the way to Muong Lay town. Lunch is served on the cruise.
Afternoon, arrive in Muong Lay town. Free at leisure. relaxes on the reservoir or enjoys hotel facilities. Overnight in the very sleepy little town of Muong Lay.

DAY 5: MUONG LAY TOWN - DIEN BIEN PHU - BACK HANOI (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, have a leisurely walk around the town, across the beautiful spanning building bridge and taking fresh air of the new day. 
Check out and settle your bill at reception. The driver comes to pick you up at the hotel for a transfer to Dien Bien Phu city for the flight back to Hanoi.

CANCELLATION POLICY
 After registering for the tour, deposit 50% of the total tour fare. Please pay the rest balance: 7 days before departure.

The charge will be applied if cancellation is made within:
    • Last-minute or no-show: 100% of the tour fare.
    • Within 24 hours before departure time: 90% of reservation cost.
    • 2-4 days prior to departure date: 50% of reservation cost.
    • 5-7 days prior to departure date: 30 % of reservation cost.
    • After booking confirmation: 10% of reservation cost.
